RADIOHEAD UNPACKT seeks to demonstrate the merits of treating Radiohead songs and albums like
works of art. "A noble cause," you might reply, "but in your website, you paid no attention to
a song like 'True Love Waits' or to an album like Pablo Honey. Aren't you doing the band's
music an injustice by limiting the scope of your interpretation? Isn't there more to
Radiohead?"
For several reasons, this site is not meant to be a comprehensive account of what Radiohead's
music means. This band has made -- and is still making -- a great deal of complex, varied
work, with the newest music oftentimes shedding new light on what's come before.
To work continually to bring everything, from the earliest On A Friday demos to the newest
unreleased songs, into one harmonious whole is a time commitment I'm unwilling to make -- and
is also probably impossible, at that.
So, please do not expect complete-ism. And please do not assume that what's included in this
site deserves more attention than what's left out. That's certainly not the case.
