"The only concept we had for this album was that we wanted to record it away from the city and
we wanted to record it ourselves. You couldn't, like, put on
The Wizard of Oz and turn the
sound down and find that Judy Garland is speaking the lyrics to 'Subterranean Homesick Alien.'
There is obviously a certain continuity to the record."

Here, Jonny Greenwood puts forward Radiohead's approach to creating
OK Computer. Arguably,
Radiohead has set out to make albums the same way since then, with respect to "continuity."
While defending Radiohead against the charge of prog-rock pretentio
n, Jonny gives the listener
a valuable way of looking at the band's work when he adds, "You could tie two or three songs
together with computers, but you could equally
link others with transport and speed." (1)
